But What About Renovations?

A question I get a lot is “Cindy, is it worth renovating?” Renovations always have a lot of question marks floating around. “Should I do this? Should I do that?”

The best piece of advice I can give you is this: If you’re thinking of moving in the next year or two, and you’re considering doing anything to the house, please have me over for a coffee. Tell me what you’re thinking of doing, and we can discuss if it’s the best move to make.

A lot of things could be done to a home, there are some things that should be done, and there are many things that people waste money on if they’re thinking of making a move. It’s important to make a plan and talk to a professional before you invest money into a home you’re thinking of selling. Some people are not able to recoup the money they’ve put into the renovations, which is why this first step is so important.
