During these unprecedented times, it’s important that we worked together as a community to support each other. Donations to the Food Bank crucial right now.
- When vulnerable families can’t afford to stock up on food for days at a time, the Food Bank can help ensure they have enough food.
- As the situation changes, some of the Food Banks programs within the Community Food Assistance network may have to close for various reasons. Donations will help keep service continue for families who need food.
- Many fundraising events that raise money for the Food Bank have been or will be cancelled.
- Grocery stores and other food industry partners are unable to keep up their own shelves stocked. The Food Bank relies on these steady donations as part of the 4.5 million pounds of fresh, frozen and non-perishable food they acquire and distribute on an annual basis in Waterloo Region. Right now, they need to purchase the food items to help fill their gaps.
Let’s work together to donate to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region and help families in our community during this stressful time.
