The Most Common Questions (and answers) from home buyers

We get asked a lot of questions about selling real estate. Lots of sellers want to know about the process and how they should prepare their home for the market. We’ve gathered the most common questions we get asked and our answers.

Q: What is my home worth?

A: Your home’s value comes from a number of variables. The answer is best discussed in person in your home, once we’ve had a chance to view your home and see the details that set it apart, such as updates and location.

Q: How much will I get for my home?

A: The answer to this question varies from home to home. It depends on a number of variables including the amount of money buyers are willing to offer on your home (market value). We always want top dollar for our sellers, so the more urgency we can create, the better results we can provide.

Q: Do you think I should stage my home?

A: It depends on your home and the furnishings you currently have. We look at decor (is it outdated or traditional?), determine which pieces you have that will work to create a neutral look. We also look at the condition of your furniture. You want people to see the house and the space, and not focus on critiquing furniture.

Q: Should we buy or sell first?

This depends on your unique situation, as well as the market. We look at the current market and determine which situation is financially best for you. Watch this video to learn more about this question.
